
Bio
Alexander Bell
Alexander, a professional ballroom dancer, specializes in American Smooth and International Ballroom. After sustaining a severe hip flexor tear that left him unable to walk for several weeks, he discovered ballroom dancing as a means of cross-training and recovery. Remarkably, he made a swift recovery and returned to his daily life as if nothing had transpired.
Intrigued by the captivating world of ballroom dancing, Alexander decided to pursue it as a hobby and has never looked back. He has since dedicated himself to learning more about the dance craft and has sought out coaching from numerous renowned coaches across the United States and internationally.
In the past year, Alexander made a significant move to Detroit, Michigan, to be with his partner, Aubrey Meade. Together, they’ve won the Professional Rising Star Smooth title at the Michigan Dance Challenge & CBC Dancesport, and securing multiple final appearances in the United States.
Alexander currently resides in Detroit, Michigan, and also teaches and coaches in Cleveland, Ohio, and other surrounding cities. He takes immense pride in the success of his students and strives to promote a holistic and organic approach to dancing.
Bio
Aubrey Meade
Aubrey Meade has studied tap, jazz, and ballet, and all forms of musical performance and technique since childhood. She is an accomplished opera singer, having toured China as a classical vocalist and chorister. At the Detroit Opera House, she performed in their rendition of Ainadamar. Additionally, she is a choral director and transferred many of her teaching techniques to the ballroom floor.
Aubrey entered the ballroom dance world with a focus on total body musical expression. Finding the proper mechanics to do this through dance enabled her to become a dance teacher and national competitor. Aubrey earned the title of Fred Astaire Closed Smooth finalist multiple times, and, with her professional smooth partner Alexander Bell, she placed first in Rising Star Smooth at CBC Dancesport (2023).
Aubrey also works with the ParaDance community, instructing and coaching students who dance in wheelchairs. In 2023, Aubrey and her amateur ParaDance partner competed in Tokyo against numerous other couples. She looks forward to continuing to compete in ParaDance competitions, and energetically and naturally spreads her love of ballroom dance with everyone.

With this the dancer is not only able to create powerfully elegant movement, but they will feel effortless as well!
